Woven Together

Having someone to come along side me and invest in my relationship with Christ made a huge impact on me. It began when a woman at church opened up her home to other ladies for a Bible study and I decided to go. Week after week we all sat around her living room to study the Bible, sing, and pray together.

Colossians 3:16

"Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts."
Eventually she and I started going for coffee or she would invite me over to her house just to talk. But what happened over years of coffee and hanging out was a deep connection and friendship centered around Jesus. When we got together, we talked about what we were studying in the Bible in our own personal study time and how we were applying what we read. We would discuss the sermon or studies we attended and how we were being challenged. Often, we would share how God was working in our lives or how we could see Him working in other ways. We prayed prayers that centered around our spiritual growth and other spiritual needs.
I am so blessed to have had a friend come into my life that cared about my walk with God enough to purposefully grow with me, but it has been just as much of a blessing when I have made those same intentional connections with other ladies who want to grow closer to Jesus together.

Colossians 1:28

"Him we proclaim, warning everyone and teaching everyone with all wisdom, that we may present everyone mature in Christ."
